Ray Tintori is a 24-year-old director from Brooklyn. His undergraduate thesis film "Death to the Tinman", premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival where it received an Honorable Mention for Short Filmmaking. It also played in the South by Southwest Film Festival and New York Film Festival, among others. His previous film "Jettison Your Loved Ones" premiered at the 2006 Slamdance Film Festival.

Ray has collaborated on 4 videos with MGMT.

His second with them, ‘Time to Pretend’, is a low-fi, epic, psychedelic 3D odyssey that has earned him rave reviews across the industry, and caught the eye of Partizan who promptly signed him up for worldwide representation.

Ray currently lives in New York where he is continues to direct music videos and has been busy collaborating with The Killers, Cool Kids and Chairlift. His work has been featured in Dazed, Shots, Creative Review, i-D, Boards, NME, Pitchfork, Music Week, Promo News, Videostatic, Shots and The Guardian.

Ray won two prestigious MVPA Awards in 2008:
Best Directorial Debut and Best Direction of a New Artist (MGMT).

In 2009 Ray received a VMA Nomination at the MTV Awards for Best Breakthrough Video for his Chairlift promo.
