Ejected from art school for making unsavory films, Barney went to the London International Film School where his graduation film won the Fuji Film Scholarship Awards and was further nominated for a BAFTA award. He quickly followed this with an adventure into outer space with his short film 'Stories From Space'.
After this was released, commercial work came calling and Barney moved into the music video world. He has now worked with artists such as Dirty Pretty Things, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Zero 7 (VMA nominee), Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan. His video for Gnarls Barkley's 'Who Cares?' garnered multiple nominations and an award at the 2007 Creative and Design Awards.
