With a passion for music, Nima is in much demand as a solo promos director, and has delivered videos for the likes of Lily Allen, Hot Chip, Chromeo and Mark Ronson (nominated for Best Visual Effects at the MVA's in 2008). Nima's Jim Noir video ('My Patch') was dubbed by the NME as the 'possibly the greatest music video of all time'. Nima's latest promos include a hilarious promo for the stars of the HBO cult show 'Flight of the Conchords', and one for Santogold, noted in Music Week as 'a brilliant video that takes this song to another level', and nominated for a Best Video gong at the MTV European Awards 2008. His consistent creativity and hard work in music videos was rewarded when he won the Best Director prize at the 2008 UK Music Video Awards. His first commercial, fittingly, is the hugely exciting House Party for Adidas Originals, celebrating 60 years of the sports brand. The film, which Nima shot in Los Angeles, features Missy Elliott, Russell Simmons, David Beckham, Method Man, Redman, DMC, Kevin Garnet, Estelle, Katy Perry, the Ting Tings and many others. |
