Ally Pankiw

Canadian writer/director Ally Pankiw got her start as part of a directing collective, with whom she made music videos for artists like Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea and Janelle Monae. Since then, she has been conquering the commercial space — working with top brands like Amazon, Chanel, Pepsi, adidas and NYLON and creating a series of Women in #STEM shorts for MTV and The Ad Council. A storyteller at heart, Ally has served as a story editor on CBC’s hit comedy, Schitt’s Creek, and is developing an original comedy series with Anchor and Sharon Horgan’s Merman. She recently completed work on Feel Good, comedian Mae Martin’s new show for Netflix and Channel 4. Ally directed and executive produced the first season, which stars Martin, Charlotte Ritchie and Lisa Kudrow. She is currently developing her first feature, Brooke & Sam, in conjunction with Telefilm and Canada’s HGF.
