Jonathan Klein

Jonathan Klein moved to directing full-time after working as a creative director for the NFL. Klein helmed Pepsi’s universally acclaimed, Cannes Lions-winning web series, “Uncle Drew”, branded content that was turned into a theatrical feature (released by Lionsgate in June 2018). He also helmed the NBA’s most viewed commercial, “Jingle Hoops”, which took home ADDY, Clio and CA honors. Jonathan specializes in telling cinematic stories, often colored with unexpected joy, stories that push the imagination, in all the right ways. In his ongoing exploration of the human condition, his work repeatedly evokes a powerful emotional response from his audience. Having started in fashion at Calvin Klein before a short stint in magazine journalism, Jonathan brings a unique sensibility to his work, and he has recently directed ads for Visa, AT&T, ESPN & Audi. Other notable work includes a campaign for the GRAMMYs featuring Lourdes and Taylor Swift, and spots for Tissot, Foot Locker, McDonald's, Nissan Europe and the New York Lottery, working with such notable names as Tracy Morgan, Morgan Freeman, Rene Russo, Stephen Curry, and even former President Barack Obama.
