Aćim Vasić

Born in Serbia, Acim lives now in Paris and makes different format of films. In 2010, his short film “8” is the perfect example of how to make a film without any dialogue. Two soldiers from opposing armies find themselves alone in a snowy forest. Playing cat and mouse. The film was selected in over 50 festivals and won an award of “best short” at Montfilmfest and Film short festival. Acim is also fond of writing. He co-wrote “Coach” with Ben Adler; the short film deals with a challenging relation between a divorced father and his son. “Coach” had won a special award at the Berlinale awards in 2015. Acim is inspired by the burlesque comedy, satire and the importance of gestures, which echoes the cinematography world of Jacques Tati.
