Biography
Saam graduated from Fine Art at Goldsmiths in 2002, and has since gone on to direct film in the context of art, music, fashion, television, performance, internet virals, documentaries and commercials. His first spell of music videos won him the 'Best Director' prize at the 2007 CAD Music Video Awards, as a new director. Distinct video work for Klaxons, Hercules & Love Affair, Simian Mobile Disco, These New Puritans, Late of The Pier, Lightspeed Champion and Soulwax, defined a time and have brought his work international acclaim. He has recently opened an independent gallery in London, where he exhibits work from young artists, and develops future projects. Saam has recently made a short film, soundtracked by Simian Mobile Disco, entitled 'Study After Cruel Intentions'. |
