Biography
Ace has been on track to direct since his conception. By the end of his high school career, Ace had produced over 200 short films and had won the highest award at the Los Angeles Film Festival. He attended the prestigious University of Southern California School of Cinema where he created Commondeer films out of his bedroom. He subsequently signed to Partizan and has since developed into one of the premiere directors of his generation. Ace's rising notoriety has been featured in Res, 944, PIG, Promo, Boards, Wonderland, Modzik, and Shots magazine. He was nominated for Director Of The Year at the 2008 MVPA Awards, and his promo for Simian Mobile Disco "Hustler" won Video For The Year at Vimus Film Festival. Still in his twenties, Ace has directed over 70 music videos—his prodigious body of work includes music videos for groups such as LCD Soundsystem, The Virgins, Sebastien Tellier, Death Cab for Cutie, Norah Jones, Patrick Wolf, Bloc Party, and Simian Mobile Disco, as well as promotional campaigns for Honda Civic, Coca-Cola, and McDonalds. |
