Biography
Alastair Siddons is a filmmaker living in London. Turn it Loose is his first feature film. Soon after winning a place at the prestigious SOAS at the University of London, he gave up a promising academic career to pursue his first love. He acquired a job at the internationally renowned documentary company, October Films, where he began to learn his craft working on critically acclaimed observational documentaries such as The Last Peasants, Towerblock Dreams and Summer with the Johnsons. By 2004, Alastair had moved on to directing, taking up an offer to direct music videos. His early work became known for its style, invention and character and soon he was working with some of the UK's finest: The Streets, Roots Manuva, Kano and The Mystery Jets. Much to his delight, he joined the Partizan in 2006, where almost immediately he began work on Turn it Loose, allowing him to combine the two disciplines he loved most- music and story telling. |
