Shore has been behind a camera professionally since the age of 14 and his career highlights have included photographing Andy Warhol and his Factory fellows and being the first living photographer to have a one-man show at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art at the age of just 24.
Since then Shore’s work has been widely published and exhibited, including one man shows at MOMA, New York; Kunsthalle, Dusseldorf and Jeu de Paume, Paris, among others. He has also received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and America’s National Endowment for the Arts and has been Director of Photography at New York’s Bard College since 1982.
