Biography
Ramon & Pedro (aka Antoine Tinguely and Laurent Fauchere) met while studying at Switzerland’s ERAG (State School of Graphic Design) in Lausanne but chose different paths until 1999, when they found themselves sitting next to each other as creative directors at Trollbäck & Company in New York. Their dedication to the creation of outstanding work led the company to become one of the top motion graphic design firms in the United States. Always attracted to a challenge and an opportunity, the two began working on their own live action projects at night and during weekends. One of the weekend shoots became a short film called Brazil. It was selected for several film festivals, including Resfest. Ramon & Pedro was born. In February 2004, they were featured in Shots magazine’s New Directors section, and signed to Partizan. Since then they have made work for clients including Diesel, Panasonic, Lenovo, Kia Motors and AOL and have also made music videos for artists including Feist, Deathcab for Cutie and Matchbox 20. They also made the internet cult sensation ‘The Grey Video’, a bootleg homage to The Beatles & Jay-Z, mashing up footage from the Beatles’ film Hard Day’s Night with tour footage of Jay-Z to create a fun short film that went very viral in 2005. They look forward to shooting more music videos, commercials and short films. "Storytelling is what captivates us. If, at the end of the day, we can go home having told a great story in a smart and simple fashion, we are happy. |
