Biography
Keith Loutit is a Sydney based photographer and filmmaker. These photographs and short films were made in ordinary places, probably not too unlike where you live. Combining a variety of techniques, Keith aims to help people take a second look at places that are familiar to them. Two photographic techniques, tilt-shift and time-lapse photography, are combined in his work to create the illusion of miniaturization. The technique can make large ships bob like toys in a bathtub, or crowds at the beach march like ants in a colony. Each short film combines thousands of digital still images. Keith says: “My goal with this work is to transform well known locations and daily life to help people see their world in a new light.” Keith signed to Partizan in May 2009. |
