New York-born Eric Lynne studied film at Northwestern University before working as a creative at Edinburgh’s Leith Agency. He moved to Los Angeles, writing and directing a short film to kick-start his directing career: Neighbor played at festivals internationally, including the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and earned Eric a Best New Director award from D&AD and Campaign Screen in London. Eric was promptly snapped up by Partizan. His first commercial campaign, for United Airlines, won awards at Cannes, the Clios and BTAA, and his direction of HSBC ‘Hole in One’ earned Eric a nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement at 2005’s Directors Guild of Great Britain awards. He earned a yellow pencil at D&AD for his Zurich Classic spot ‘Silence’ and collected silvers at Cannes and BTAA for his VW work. Recently Eric’s shot for Heineken, MTV and Mastercard, while his ‘International Language of Viagra’ campaign has picked up gold and silver lions at Cannes and silver at the Clios. Throughout the spring and early summer of 2008, Neighbor was seen by millions of UK cinemagoers as the short screened before feature films in hundreds of cinemas across the country. Eric lives in London. |
