A graduate of the University of Southern California Film Program, Albert Kodagolian began his career as a cinematographer. After shooting a number of narrative projects, including a piece by Ocar-winning director Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) for the acclaimed shorts collection, Ten Minutes Older, featuring new films by Jean-Luc Godard, Claire Denis and Bernardo Bertolucci, the transition to directing presented itself when Albert wrote and directed a public service announcement for a charity endorsed by Mike Figgis and Saffron Burrows.

His Budweiser ad, 'Journey', debuted during the Super Bowl, and 'Projectionist', his 60-second cinema spot for the Seattle Film Festival won multiple Telly Awards, including craft awards for Direction and Cinematography. SHOOT selected his Theraflu spot, 'Bus' as ‘Top Spot of the Week’ for its cinematic feel and delicate approach.

In October 2006, Albert was featured in the top directors issue of SHOOT magazine.
